Contract durations is as per agreed original contract period between the client and Etisalat by e& with two options being available: No Contract and 12-Month Contract.

Online Exclusive Offer  on Business Xtreme Plans – Applicable for 12-Month Contracts: All new online subscriptions would benefit from a free 2-month upgrade.

After two months, plan is downgraded to the original plan purchased. Up on contract renewal, users would get their thirteenth month plan rental for free.

A hassle-free upgrade/migration to any other Business First Plus & Business Xtreme Plans can be done without any exit charges. Subscribers of Business Xtreme 900 & 1200 would need to complete the 12-month duration until they upgrade or downgrade.

For AED 900 and above plans the outgoing roaming minutes benefit will be provided within 24 - 48 hours.

Business 375 (no contract plan) & Business 325 (12-month contract plan) promotional double data i.e. 54GB will be provided for a limited time only. After the promotional period ends, AED 325 & 375 plan customers will enjoy 27GB as standard Local Data benefits.

Q.  What are the device offerings with Business Xtreme?

A. With Business Xtreme Plans, you may avail any device available from the application form under a 12-month contractual option. 

Device add-ons are optional and are sold as per their standard retail price. You can subscribe to the device add-on when activating the base plan or even after it has been activated.

Q.  What add-ons are available with Business Xtreme?

A. Business Xtreme would come with an extensive list of add-ons for extended local and international minutes, local or roaming data add-ons. View list of add-ons here

Q.  Can customer downgrade/upgrade between Business Xtreme base plans?

A. If you are upgrading or downgrading within the Business Xtreme before 2 months, an early contract termination/service cancellation would apply. This would mean a one-time charge of the monthly rental would be charged. In the case that the online offer has been redeemed, you can upgrade to plans only after the completion of the promotional period of two months with the contract being reset and exit charges being applied. Subscribers of Business Xtreme 900 & 1200 would need to complete the 12-month duration until they upgrade or downgrade.

A. Exit charges applicable for device and base plans as per the following:

       (i) Exit from the Base Plan only – 1-month of base plan rental fee.

Etisalat has announced various Mobile Propositions, a plethora of business postpaid mobile plans meticulously designed to suit the needs of its business customers.

Business mobile plans such as Business First Plus, Business Xtreme, and the Easy Prepaid feature, along with exclusive online mobile plans, address the needs of business customers from the usage behaviour and pricing point perspective, and cater to the convenience of business customers.

Etisalat is offering budget-conscious customers the Business First Plus postpaid plan, starting from Dh110 a month. With a carry-forward feature, business customers are able to roll over unused minutes to the next month and enjoy the benefit of any unused allowance.

Customers in search of a stress-free plan complete with unlimited national and international minutes can select Etisalat’s Business Xtreme. In addition, they can stay constantly connected with yearly extra free bonus allowances, and choose from a selection of international minutes, local minutes, or free data allocations when subscribing to either Business First Plus or Business Xtreme for one year.

‘Easy Prepaid’ is an innovative feature that provides a separate prepaid account on top of an existing postpaid number. Hence, employees can seamlessly switch between their business postpaid account and a personal prepaid account enabling them to make personal calls at their own expense using their existing business mobile plans, and not be limited to their employer’s allocated allowance. For instance, an employee can use a prepaid account – with the same number – when he or she reaches the maximum allowance given by the company. In addition, employees can add on plenty of services like roaming voice minutes, local and international data and SMS.

Etisalat has announced the launch of ‘Easy Prepaid,’ enabling business customers to enjoy a prepaid feature on their existing postpaid mobile plan.

With this new hybrid capability, customers can now switch between prepaid and postpaid features without the need to change their existing number. They can also recharge their credit, make out-of-bundle calls and subscribe to add-ons using standard prepaid tariff rates.

‘Easy Prepaid’ allows employees to make personal calls at their own expense. For instance, an employee can use a prepaid account – with the same number – when he or she reaches the maximum allowance given by the company.

The unique feature also caters to customers who have company restrictions to make international calls using their existing business mobile plans. The new hybrid capability empowers all employees who are on postpaid plans not to only make personal local and international calls, but also to pay for m-parking and other value added services using their prepaid credit.

Esam Mahmoud, Senior Vice President, Small and Medium Business, Etisalat, said, “The launch of ‘Easy Prepaid’ reinforces our commitment to deliver flexible value propositions that address our customers’ needs amidst the current global phenomenon. For the first time in the UAE, our valued business postpaid customers can now enjoy a unique offering that empowers them with additional freedom and convenience to use the same line for their personal communication needs.”

Customers can easily recharge their credit using any existing Wasel recharge option, Etisalat Business Mobile app or through online banking apps. Once the account gets recharged customer can switch from postpaid to Easy Prepaid by dialing *124# and start making calls, send SMS, use data and subscribe to other add-ons.

Etisalat Intros ‘Easy Prepaid’ for Business Mobile Lines

Etisalat has announced the launch of ‘Easy Prepaid,’ enabling business customers to enjoy a prepaid feature on their existing postpaid mobile plan. With this new hybrid capability, customers can now switch between prepaid and postpaid features without the need to change their existing number. They can also recharge their credit, make out-of-bundle calls, and subscribe to add-ons using standard prepaid tariff rates.

‘Easy Prepaid’ allows employees to make personal calls at their own expense. For instance, an employee can use a prepaid account – with the same number – when he or she reaches the maximum allowance given by the company. The unique feature also caters to customers who have company restrictions to make international calls using their existing business mobile plans. The new hybrid capability empowers all employees who are on postpaid plans not to only make personal local and international calls, but also to pay for m-parking and other value added services using their prepaid credit.

Esam Mahmoud, Senior Vice President, Small and Medium Business, Etisalat, said: “The launch of ‘Easy Prepaid’ reinforces our commitment to deliver flexible value propositions that address our customers’ needs amidst the current global phenomenon. AMD Launches Radeon PRO W7700 Workstation Graphics Card

Qualcomm Discontinues Snapdragon Satellite Due to Lack of Adoption in Android Phones

In a twist of events, Qualcomm and Iridium have called it quits on Snapdragon Satellite, signalling an unexpected halt to their collaboration. The once-promising venture aimed to bring satellite connectivity to Android phones, a feature gaining traction, particularly with Apple’s recent emphasis in its iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 lineups for remote, cellular-deprived locations.

Despite Qualcomm’s initial excitement around Snapdragon Satellite, which promised limited satellite connectivity for Android devices, the technology failed to gain momentum since its announcement almost a year ago. Now, Qualcomm and Iridium confirm the dissolution of their partnership, effective December 3, 2023, without any Snapdragon Satellite-equipped devices hitting the market.

Iridium attributes the termination of the partnership to Qualcomm’s decision, citing a lack of adoption by Android phones as the primary reason. Earlier commitments from Qualcomm to integrate the technology into devices from Oppo, Nothing, and Motorola failed to materialize. Despite Qualcomm’s assurance that the tech would be available across all tiers of Snapdragon chips, the market remained indifferent.

Notably, rival chipmaker MediaTek had also announced satellite connectivity for Android phones, while T-Mobile in the US, forged a deal with SpaceX to bring satellite connectivity to Android phones without requiring additional hardware.

What’s next for satellite connectivity in Android phones? According to CNBC, Qualcomm revealed that Android manufacturers lean towards “standards-based solutions” over Qualcomm’s proprietary approach. As a result, Qualcomm is discontinuing Snapdragon Satellite in its current form and anticipates collaborating with Iridium on standards-based alternatives. The unexpected turn of events leaves the future of satellite connectivity in Android phones hanging in the balance.”

WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service announced today that the amount individuals can contribute to their 401(k) plans in 2024 has increased to $23,000, up from $22,500 for 2023.

The IRS today also issued technical guidance regarding all of the cost‑of‑living adjustments affecting dollar limitations for pension plans and other retirement-related items for tax year 2024 in Notice 2023-75 PDF .

Highlights of changes for 2024

The contribution limit for employees who participate in 401(k), 403(b), and most 457 plans, as well as the federal government's Thrift Savings Plan is increased to $23,000, up from $22,500.

The limit on annual contributions to an IRA increased to $7,000, up from $6,500. The IRA catch‑up contribution limit for individuals aged 50 and over was amended under the SECURE 2.0 Act of 2022 (SECURE 2.0) to include an annual cost‑of‑living adjustment but remains $1,000 for 2024.

The catch-up contribution limit for employees aged 50 and over who participate in 401(k), 403(b), and most 457 plans, as well as the federal government's Thrift Savings Plan remains $7,500 for 2024. Therefore, participants in 401(k), 403(b), and most 457 plans, as well as the federal government's Thrift Savings Plan who are 50 and older can contribute up to $30,500, starting in 2024. The catch-up contribution limit for employees 50 and over who participate in SIMPLE plans remains $3,500 for 2024.

The income ranges for determining eligibility to make deductible contributions to traditional Individual Retirement Arrangements (IRAs), to contribute to Roth IRAs, and to claim the Saver's Credit all increased for 2024.

Taxpayers can deduct contributions to a traditional IRA if they meet certain conditions. If during the year either the taxpayer or the taxpayer's spouse was covered by a retirement plan at work, the deduction may be reduced, or phased out, until it is eliminated, depending on filing status and income. (If neither the taxpayer nor the spouse is covered by a retirement plan at work, the phase-outs of the deduction do not apply.) Here are the phase‑out ranges for 2024:

• For single taxpayers covered by a workplace retirement plan, the phase-out range is increased to between $77,000 and $87,000, up from between $73,000 and $83,000.
• For married couples filing jointly, if the spouse making the IRA contribution is covered by a workplace retirement plan, the phase-out range is increased to between $123,000 and $143,000, up from between $116,000 and $136,000.
• For an IRA contributor who is not covered by a workplace retirement plan and is married to someone who is covered, the phase-out range is increased to between $230,000 and $240,000, up from between $218,000 and $228,000.
• For a married individual filing a separate return who is covered by a workplace retirement plan, the phase-out range is not subject to an annual cost-of-living adjustment and remains between $0 and $10,000.

The income phase-out range for taxpayers making contributions to a Roth IRA is increased to between $146,000 and $161,000 for singles and heads of household, up from between $138,000 and $153,000. For married couples filing jointly, the income phase-out range is increased to between $230,000 and $240,000, up from between $218,000 and $228,000. The phase-out range for a married individual filing a separate return who makes contributions to a Roth IRA is not subject to an annual cost-of-living adjustment and remains between $0 and $10,000.

The income limit for the Saver's Credit (also known as the Retirement Savings Contributions Credit) for low- and moderate-income workers is $76,500 for married couples filing jointly, up from $73,000; $57,375 for heads of household, up from $54,750; and $38,250 for singles and married individuals filing separately, up from $36,500.

The amount individuals can contribute to their SIMPLE retirement accounts is increased to $16,000, up from $15,500.

Additional changes made under SECURE 2.0 are as follows:

• The limitation on premiums paid with respect to a qualifying longevity annuity contract to $200,000. For 2024, this limitation remains $200,000.
• Added an adjustment to the deductible limit on charitable distributions. For 2024, this limitation is increased to $105,000, up from $100,000.
• Added a deductible limit for a one-time election to treat a distribution from an individual retirement account made directly by the trustee to a split-interest entity. For 2024, this limitation is increased to $53,000, up from $50,000.
