## Why Cluey’s Maths programs are more effective than practice alone

If your child is missing core skills, or if they’re confused about question structure, all the practice questions in the world won’t help them arrive at the right answer. They might need personalised support — someone to answer questions and explain things at their pace.

At Cluey, our experienced Education Team have developed programs that provide students with the guidance they need for Maths through years 2-12.

Cluey’s Mathematics programs are structured as a series of face-to-face, online, tutor-led sessions, where theory, examples and exam strategies are covered in a fun and friendly way. Between sessions, students tackle practice questions to consolidate their understanding. These are then reviewed with feedback provided.

The idea behind these programs is to improve your child’s numeracy skills by building on their understanding of core knowledge, rather than providing guides to help them rote learn. If a student struggles with a certain topic, Cluey tutors are available to explain the content until they ‘get it ’. With access to our experts , session recordings to help revise anytime, detailed tutor feedback and progress reports, students are able to build on their numeracy skills and target specific areas for extra attention.

## Worksheets By Topic

International Baccalaureate (IB) Maths worksheets with questions arranged by topic and difficulty level.

Quadratics is a large topic and have many interlinked ideas.

I have separated this topic into the following documents and it is best to follow the following order when tackling this topic:

• The 3 forms of a Quadratic and the difference between and expression and an equation.  This includes g raphing quadratics (graph to equation and equation to graph)
• Completing The Square (this include finding the vertex of a quadratic)
• Converting between the 3 forms of a quadratic and finding the equation of a quadratic based on the roots, vertex or 3 points or on the graph
• Solving Quadratics (this includes the 3 methods of solving a quadratic which are factorising, using the Quadratic Formula and completing the square)
• Discriminant
• Quadratic Simultaneous Equations
• Quadratic Modelling and Optimisation

There are many representations of the same idea and each worksheet highlights this fact, so that a student can fully understand quadratics.

## Functions Other Than Quadratics

• Functions basics (finding values of functions, composite functions, finding inverses, odd/even etc
• Transformations
• Domain and range
• Modulus functions
• Graphing - how to graph all types of functions
• Exponential and Logarithmic functons
• Exponential Modelling
• Polynomial Division
• Sums and Products Of Roots

More worksheets are being uploaded over the coming weeks and months.  Please contact me if you have a request for a certain topic to be uploaded sooner.
