Self explaining template...good.
Empty reply does not make any sense for the end user
Great as a template to adjust to different levels of ESOL.

How to: the grid method of multiplication
For some, maths homework is a breeze. For others, it’s a weekly chore. Just how do you engage children with something like multiplication? It’s (relatively) simple: encourage them to spot and understand the patterns. Here, former teacher and mathemagician Andrew Jeffrey shows us how to use the grid method of multiplication.

Welcome to the Maths White Board. I am a Lead Practitioner of Mathematics at Hinchingbrooke School (UK) and have been teaching since 2006. I first created the site to tackle the issue of seeking more differentiated material when teaching Maths. However, since the start of the pandemic, the site has massively changed to meet the needs of the schools that now use it. The site now incorporates a range of tools to support you both in and out of the classroom. Please choose from the available options below or read on to learn more about this exciting project.

Finding a good worksheet to meet your needs is sometimes hard. Some worksheets have too many easy questions and some have to few of the goods. This generally leads to you having to do a lot of editing. This is why I have put you in control of designing your own worksheets using the WorkSheet Generator . You choose your topics, you choose how hard they are and you choose how many you want. It really is that simple. Find out more below.
Sometimes all we really need is an easy way of recapping topics with students to help build confidence to recall techniques. The Last lesson, Last week, Last topic, Last term (LWB) tool harnesses the question bank from the MWB website and provides 4 separate topics on a single page. Within each topic you can differentiate the questions using the on-screen options.
It is so important to practice a range of different topics over time to help with memory retention. That's why I have put together a Revision Starter Board generator and some pre-made packs. Each pack can be produced to suit the ability of your group by choosing a specific difficulty level and can always be made more difficult throughout the week that you may be delivering it in.
--- KEY THINGS TO KNOW ---
Every aspect of the Maths White Board site is built around 3 things:
Differentiated challenge
Each topic area has been broken up into roughly 6 differentiated concepts to facilitate a greater level of support or challenge for a learner.
Beautifully scaffolded
Each topic has been structured in such a way to lead a user through a desirable teaching sequence or learning journey.
Endless questions
The site has been built with a topic bank at it's core not a question bank. The main aim is for you to never encounter the same question twice.
Your one-stop shop for all things relating to Maths pedagogy and classroom assessment.
--- shaped by research ---.
Below are 3 activities contained in the Maths White Board site born out of research:
